Domestic Violence: Man kills wife for resisting abuse

ABBOTABAD: A woman was killed by her husband over a minor dispute in Kutnali area on Wednesday evening. According to the police, Salma Bibi, 26, was married to Naveed Iqbal two years back and she was often subjected to domestic violence. She had complained about her husband’s attitude on several occasions, but her parents forced her to compromise every time she complained. On Wednesday she stood up against Iqbal when he tried to misbehave with her, which infuriated him and he allegedly shot her with a pistol. Iqbal managed to flee from the village following the murder, the police added.
