LAHORE: A two member bench of the Supreme Court Lahore registry dismissed an appeal seeking to reopen cases relating to the alleged illegal allotment of plots made out against PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif during the rule of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

Lahore Development Authority’s former director-general Maj (retd) MH Ansari had filed this appeal challenging an order of a Lahore High Court full bench wherein the cases of corruption in LDA plots were cancelled.

An advocate-on-record informed the bench that the petitioner had not been pursuing the case for many hearings. At this, the bench dismissed the appeal. The bench comprised of Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa.
