PESHAWAR:

The Wana-Angoor Adda Road will accelerate the pace of development and bring socioeconomic improvement in the lives of the tribal people, said MNA Maulana Abudl Malik Wazir while addressing a jirga of Wazir tribes at Wana in South Waziristan.

Appreciating efforts of Frontier Works Organisation, he hoped that the construction and extension of the Wana-Angoor Adda Road would be completed on the same lines as the successful Tank-Wana Highway.

Wazir said that the project would increase the region’s investment prospects and will be a gateway for trade and business activities between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics. He said that the road will also give an impetus to agriculture, communication and trade sectors.

Wazir said that the construction of Cadet College Wana will ensure provision of quality education to the tribal youth. He assured that efforts are being made to address the shortage of teachers and specialists doctors in the region.
