LAHORE:

Policemen from Lahore's Sabzazar police station have been accused of the illegal custody and torture of a youth.

Muhammad Bisharat, a resident of the Kharak area of Lahore, was arrested on Friday night by two policemen.

Having tortured and taken away the youth's valuables, the police then phoned his family and told them that their child had confessed to kidnapping nine children. The police proceeded to inform the family that they were willing to release the boy.

However, when the family contacted higher police authorities, the involved policemen offered money as compensation to the family to withdraw the charges.

The matter is being investigated by police authorities.

Rotten lot should be sacked and locked up themselves. Probably should investigate them for the missing children too.
