ISLAMABAD: The Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police (NH and MP), Wajid Ali Durrani highlighted effective enforcement and excellent strategy of education on road safety on part of NH and MP as having brought down the accident rates in country. He was speaking at NH and MP Headquarters during a briefing arranged for him by the department. He added that strict enforcement of traffic rules has helped to save lives of commuters. In the last 14 years, Motorway Police enforced equal application of law irrespective of one’s rank or status and also changed hard policing into reformative policing.
