BISE results: IT consultant refuses to comment on fiasco

It has yet to be seen whether the commission is going to ask him to expose the responsible people or not.

LAHORE: The former IT consultant of the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (LBISE) Dr Majid refused to make a statement to the commission probing the intermediate exam result fiasco.

The commission has been formed by the Lahore High Court to probe the results fiasco that resulted in protests across the province.

In his written statement sent to the commission, the former IT consultant said his disclosures can put Punjab Government in a fix.

The statement has been received by the commission which met in Lahore today.

It has yet to be seen whether the commission is going to ask him to appear before it and expose the responsible people or not.

During today's proceedings, chairmen of eight education boards in Punjab recorded their statements.

The chairmen blamed former officials including chairmen and secretaries for the errors.

The commission has summoned all the serving officials to submit their statements.
