BAHAWALPUR:
Hundreds of students and teachers at the Government Girls High School in Satellite Town in Bahawalpur protested against the attitude of the school principal on Friday. According to the students, the principal regularly punished students by caning them or making them stand outside in the sun for hours. Teachers said that the school principal’s attitude with employees at the school was also objectionable. The protesting children and teachers demanded that Bahawalpur DCO Dr Naeem Rauf transfer the principal as soon as possible. The protesters said that they would organise a hunger strike if the principal was not transferred.
