The Ramna police arrested a man who allegedly murdered his wife in Sector G-12 two weeks ago. The investigators said that the couple had been married for 16 years and had two children.
While informing the police about the killing of his wife, her husband accused another man of committing the crime, but during preliminary investigation, he failed to respond the queries of investigators.
He told the investigators that a couple of years back he had started using hard drugs, after which his health suffered and he quit going to work. As a result, the family suffered financially and his wife borrowed money from a man to bear the expenses of the family. Later, the man developed an extramarital relationship with her. When her husband found out, he slit her throat while she was sleeping.
