HARIPUR: Three unidentified men robbed a store in broad daylight and injured an employee in the process, when he tried to overpower one of their accomplices, police said. Ziaul Haq, an employee of the Abdul Basit cigarette distribution agency told the police that he and his colleagues were working at the store when three men entered the store and held them up at gunpoint. They asked for the keys to the cash drawer. Since the key was with the store’s owner who wasn’t there at the time, the robbers broke the lock and made away with Rs700,000 in cash from the drawer and Rs36,000 from the employees. They also took their cellphones. The employees told police that the bandits were speaking Hindko and made their getaway in a rickshaw. The injured was then relocated to the DHQ hospital for treatment.
