KHANEWAL: Scores of teachers staged a protest demonstration against the new education recruitment policy on Monday afternoon. The protesters said that under the new recruitment policy of the Education Department, applicants applying for the position of elementary school teachers must hold an FSc degree. The protesters said that the policy was unfair as it barred those having done an FA from applying for the post. They said that applicants holding an FA degree could just as easily teach elementary school. The protesters appealed to the Chief Minster Shahbaz Sharif to review the education policy as soon as possible. Education Department officials Mulazim Hussain, Manzoor Akhatar, Tariq Mahmood and others were also present on the occasion.
