Football: Pakistan humbled in U-19 qualifier

Pakistan lost to Uzbekistan 3-0 in the Asian Football Confederation Under-19 Championship qualifiers Group C match.

KARACHI: Pakistan lost to Uzbekistan 3-0 in the Asian Football Confederation Under-19 Championship qualifiers Group C match in Tehran on Monday night. Uzbekistan’s Makhstaliev Abbosbek scored three times before the interval. The team will play their second match against Turkmenistan today. Meanwhile, India defeated Turkmenistan 3-1 in their first match. Uzbekistan is leading Group C with three points while India are behind them in second place. Iran, Pakistan and Turkmenistan are yet to win a match at the event.
