KARACHI:

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday rejected reports of suspension of talks between Pakistan and India saying his Indian counterpart has assured him that all issues will be taken up by both sides.

Speaking to the media after inaugurating Baloki Power Plant, he said there is no political prisoner in the country and fake degree issues will be resolved amicably.

He also ruled out the possibility of mid-term election, saying by-polls will be held only in those constituencies where candidates have been disqualified.

On the fight against militants, he said the government has a uniform policy against terrorism and it will support all units against it.
