Social Sector: China, BISP to launch training programme

Geng Ying says her organization intends to launch a vocational training project for women and children.

Pakistan and China agreed to further enhance mutual cooperation in the social sector at a meeting of a delegation of China Cultural Heritage Foundation (CCHF) with Federal Minister and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Progarmme (BISP) Farzana Raja.


The Chinese delegation was led by CCHF chairperson Geng Ying. Raja informed the delegation that her recent visit to China was a successful one as she had signed various important MoUs with public and private sector organisations in China including CCHF with the objective of enhancing mutual cooperation in the social sector.

Geng Ying said that her organization intends to launch a project in the area of vocational training for women and children which will further strengthen partnership between BISP and CCHF. Raja welcomed the suggestion and maintained that BISP had complete data of 27 million households in Pakistan, which constitute 90 % of the population of the country.
