KARACHI: Pakistan has drawn the second match against Spain 1-1 at the Barcelona Olympic Stadium. Pakistan’s centre-forward Rehan Butt scored his side’s only goal in the second half of the match before Spain equalised in the final moments of the match.

The team has now finished its first leg of the European tour after winning one match against France and drawing two against Spain. “Spain is a tough team, so it is not bad if we drew the matches with them,” assistant coach Ahmed Alam told The Express Tribune. “On goal average, we have emerged as the better side, since we scored more goals than Spain.”

Pakistan had earlier defeated France 4-0 while Spain beat France 3-2 which gave Pakistan an aggregate of seven goals in three matches compared to Spain’s six and France’s two.
