Tragedy: Man commits suicide

Man had been under stress for the last two days after his sister had “gone missing from the house”.

RAWALPINDI: A man committed suicide in the Sadiqabad area on Wednesday. Raja Mudassar told the police that his father, Raja Yaqoob, had been under stress for the last two days after his sister had “gone missing from the house”. He did not elaborate on how or why she disappeared. On Tuesday, they were at home when his father went into his room and shot himself with a pistol. After hearing the shot, Mudassar rushed to the room to find his father lying in pool of blood. He was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Yaqoob was a property trader, he added.
