Caught: Two notorious target killers and motorcycle thieves among six arrested

Sipah-e-Mohammad Pakistan member, involved in the murder of four people, arrested.

KARACHI: Eight suspects, including two alleged target killers, were caught in different raids on Wednesday.

An alleged target killer, Tanvir Abbas, was arrested in a raid in Sector 11D of North Karachi, after a tip-off. According to SHO Changaiz Khan, Abbas killed four people in Godhra Colony and is affiliated with Sipah-e-Mohammad Pakistan. A TT pistol was found on him. He was arrested by the Anti-Extremist Cell earlier but was released on bail, the police added.

In another raid, four men were arrested during a raid in Malir for the murder of a policeman. Zubair, Ghulam Mustafa, Naeem and Shahnawaz were caught after a brief encounter in Ghazi Town. The men were going somewhere on motorcycles and attacked the police when they were stopped for snap checking.

Four TT pistols and drugs were also found from them. The police believe that Zubair is affiliated with a political party and said that he is involved in many cases of murder and street crime.

Separately, the Anti-Car Lifting Cell arrested two men, Nadeem and Bashir, from Sohrab Goth. According to SSP Javed Akbar Riaz, they were allegedly involved in over 100 cases of motorcycle theft and smuggled them outside Karachi. Around 15 motorcycles were found from them.

Meanwhile, a notorious drug peddler, Abdul Jabbar alias Papa, was arrested by the Jackson police. According to them, Jabbar was released from jail recently and was involved in a murder.
