The Pakistan Red Crescent Society will install seven more water and sanitation units and four mobile health units in the next two days for the rain-hit people in Badin, Benazirabad and Sanghar.
The cost of all 15 water filtration plants comes to around Rs100 million.
Sherry Rehman, the chairperson of PRCS, is also working to gather more funds for the flood survivors ahead of the winter season.
Currently, there are eight water and sanitation teams working in Badin, Mirpurkhas, Benazirabad, Khairpur and Sanghar. They are also holding sessions to teach the people how to use water purification tablets (aqua tabs). There are already 11 PRCS mobile health units and two basic health units which have treated 45,000 patients in eight districts. Four more mobile health units will be set up - two in Khairpur and two in southern Mirpurkhas. press release
