Rain Expected: Westerly wave to hit the north

ISLAMABAD: A westerly wave in the northern part of the country is likely to cause isolated rains and thunderstorms in upper Punjab, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) during the next 24 hours.  This would persist for the next two days and cause scattered rains in upper Punjab, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Sargodha divisions while other parts of the province will experience a dry spell during the next 24 hours. Isolated rains and thunderstorms are expected in upper K-P, Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Peshawar divisions. Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh and Balochistan during the next 24 hours, however, isolated thunderstorms and rain are expected in northeast Balochistan during the next 24 hours. In Kashmir, G-B and the adjoining hilly areas, isolated rain and thunderstorms may occur during the next 24 hours.
