
A judge, on Wednesday, released a man accused of murder, after the man who accused him said he had never seen him before.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Tahir Khan Niazi ordered the police to release Javed Iqbal, who had been arrested for involvement in the murder of Irshad alias Pappu. The victim was gunned down in an attack in Nishtar Colony police jurisdiction on June 9, 2008.
On Wednesday, the complainant in the FIR which became the basis for the case told the judge that the defendant was not the man he had accused of the murder. The judge then released Iqbal.
