At least four people were killed in a suspected target killing incident late Tuesday night in Karachi.

KARACHI: At least four people were killed in a suspected target killing incident late Tuesday night in Karachi. At least three to four armed men, wearing helmets and riding on motorcycles, opened indiscriminate fire at a garments shop in Muslim Town, near Nagin Chowrangi, North Karachi. Five people are reported injured, one of whom is said to be in critical condition. The incident caused of panic and fear among the area’s residents and all shops in North Karachi and surrounding areas were shut down. A heavy contingent of law enforcers, including police and Rangers personnel, was called to the crime scene where a search operation is expected. Sources said that the victims might have been killed on a sectarian basis.
