Boat capsizes in Harappa, three people drown

Three person drowned as a boat overturned in the Lower Bari Doab near the historic town of Harappa on Monday.

Two of the bodies found have been identified as those of brothers Zubair and Saleem from Chicha Watni.

At least 25 students were onboard the vessel at the time of the accident.

Rescue works have started on the scene, and so far 15 people have been pulled out. A search and rescue operation is underway for nine missing people.

Rescue officials claim chances of survival are very less, however they are determined to carry on the operation for 2 more days.

Most of the travelers on board were students of the Government Technology College in Sahiwal.
