The Peshawar police have rounded up 170 suspects during search operations.

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar police rounded up 170 suspects during search operations.

The suspects were picked up from different areas of the city including Gul Bahar, Phandoo and Chamkanai.

During the raid, the police recovered 10 riffles , 10 Kalashnikovs, 14 pistols and 330 ammunition rounds.

The suspects have been shifted to an unknown place for further investigations.

On Sunday night, city police claimed to have arrested 410 suspects during raids on the outskirts of the city.

Any deal or accord with Taliban should not mean that they will have a free hand in imposing their ideology or even propagating it. Such elements need to be reintegrated into the existing political system. We must be clear in what we want and what we are willing to give so that the fiasco of Sawat peace deal is not repeated
