Maulana Fazlur Rehman, addressing a gathering at the Mufti Mehmood conference, said the crises faced by the country would only be resolved when justice and equality prevailed. “We have to follow the footprints of Mufti Mehmood who talked about the rule of justice and equality. By doing so the country will quell all sorts of crises,” Rehman added.
“A policy has been formulated to destabilise Pakistan. In the coming days, it is possible that demands will be made for an action against the ‘Quetta Shura’ and maybe America will approach the United Nations for action against the Haqqani network,” he said, adding that unity in the rank of religious leaders was the need of hour to foil foreign conspiracies.
The party chief, while opposing the establishment of an American consulate in Quetta, said the US would not be allowed to set up the consulate at any cost as it would further deteriorate the situation in the region. “Conspirators are trying to create a situation like Fata and Waziristan in Balochistan,” he added.
“JUF’s movement is against people loyal to the establishment and pro-establishment feudal lords. The rulers always talk about poor people but they haven’t done anything for these people,” said Rehman.
Also speaking at the conference, opposition leader in Senate and Secretary General JUI-F Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said the law and order situation was deteriorating across the country due to wrong policies.
“People feel insecure while travelling on highways in Balochistan as hold-ups and kidnapping have become the order of the day,” he said, adding that kidnapping for ransom was on the rise since it had become a lucrative business.
“The constant incidents of kidnappings in Balochistan indicate the involvement of provincial ministers,” Haideri said.

Religious parties only capable of taking country back to camel/sword age. They are well capable of spreading sectarian hatred and declaring fellow Muslims as kafir, murtid and wajibul qatal.
I'm not a fan of this person but he's spot on when he says, "the US consulate in Quetta is something that shouldn't be taken lightly".
Why have the US, out of the blues, decided to have consulate in Quetta? Why didn't it have one since Pakistan's birth? Why didn't it have one during the peace time? Peaceful countries with embassies would shut down in such circumstances. The US is planning to have one!!! Time to ponder.
By the way, who would be the station chief of the consulate!?
These Molvies made the life of general public an agony for three days in Quetta during their Mufti Mehmood conference, In Quetta all the major roads are blocked for one reason or the other. Pishin Adda Road is blocked by IG FC, Zarghoon Road by Civil Police as it passes in front of CM/Governor House, Cannt is blocked for security reasons. Anscomb Road is blocked as it houses Secretaries etc. And whatever was left was blocked by the Molvies for their get together on roads and parks. After the termination of the conference, they left behind all sort of litter and garbage on all the roads and parks. Quetta where municipal services are limited to the houses of the ministers and civil bureaucrats only, gave a look of a big garbage dump. We will have to wait for chilling weather of Quetta to kill all the flies and mosquitoes produced by this disruptive get together. Thanks God it is over.
These gentlemen don't like western "plots" but sure western technology. Why don't they let go of their hypocrisy and start using only "Islamic" things such as camels and miswak - and no airplanes for hajj or mobile phones for communications!
