New technology: TB diagnosis machine installed

The TB Control Programme collaborated with the World Health Organisation to install the technology.

KOTRI: A machine for the diagnosis of tuberculosis has been set up in Jamshoro district. The TB Control Programme collaborated with the World Health Organisation to install the technology at the Institute of Chest Diseases at Kotri. TB Control Programme Manager Dr Ijaz Qadeer inaugurated the machine and said that it would help diagnose TB in just two hours. Usually this test costs Rs1,800 but will be free at the institute.
