A fire broke out in Uni-Center on II Chundrigar road on Monday.
Sources said that the fire erupted due to short circuiting in the meter room of the plaza. No casualties or injuries were reported. However, the flames and clouds of smoke created panic in the surrounding localities.
Rescue and Cheepa welfare teams evacuated the people and shifted them to safer grounds.
Uni-Center is the hub of the electronics market in Karachi and the building holds hundreds of shops.
