'Sharif tried to fool the nation'

Federal Law Minister Dr Babar Awan lashed out at PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif stating that he tried to fool nation.

Federal Law Minister Dr Babar Awan lashed out at PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif stating that he tried to fool the nation by making Sanaullah Masti Khel a scapegoat for their own wrongdoings.

Speaking to the media at Lahore airport, Awan said that the nation wants to know who passed the resolution against the media on the floor of the house.

He said that he was willing to play the role of a bridge between the media and the government to defuse the situation.

PML-N responds

Senator Pervez Rasheed of PML-N has said that the Punjab Assembly's resolution against the media was a back-bencher's' mis-adventure which happens sometimes. While talking to Express 24/7 Rasheed said Babar Awan's party also supported the resolution and voted for it. He added that Sanaullah Masti Khel tabled the resolution without the consent of the party.

The senator stated that the PML-N will take disciplinary action against those members who acted against the party discipline. He said his party is united against the fake degree holders and it will not give tickets to fake degree holders in the next elections.

Ammad | 14 years ago | Reply What a response, "Resolution was a back-bencher's misadventure", really do these people think public of Pakistan is too fool to understand this. Uff how can a resolution be presented and than approved unanimously without the consent of Princes of PML N although I support them more than PPP but where a thing is wrong it is wrong. It could have been presented without they being unaware of it but then passed, it just clarifies everything. Media is just showing the mirror and unfortunately for fraudulents the reflection is not good so they are resorting to these kind of steps.

I again reiterate to focus on the main issues faced by the nation which are needless to mention over and over again. And lastly as far as media is concerned, they are just a mirror Babar Awan Sb. Stop mendacious behavior and corruption. You and your government show positive performance, I’m sure media will salute you and so will the nation.
