Speaking to the media at Lahore airport, Awan said that the nation wants to know who passed the resolution against the media on the floor of the house.
He said that he was willing to play the role of a bridge between the media and the government to defuse the situation.
PML-N responds
Senator Pervez Rasheed of PML-N has said that the Punjab Assembly's resolution against the media was a back-bencher's' mis-adventure which happens sometimes. While talking to Express 24/7 Rasheed said Babar Awan's party also supported the resolution and voted for it. He added that Sanaullah Masti Khel tabled the resolution without the consent of the party.
The senator stated that the PML-N will take disciplinary action against those members who acted against the party discipline. He said his party is united against the fake degree holders and it will not give tickets to fake degree holders in the next elections.
