Unpleasant Discoveries: Media team finds a police torture cell

The police attempted to snatch the cameras from the media team but they managed obtain footage of the cell.

UBAURO: A torture cell was found in the residential quarters of a police station in Belo Mirpur, Ghotki district, by a media team. Inside it there were four people who were handcuffed and chained, including Koro Qazi from Sufi Rahmatullah village. His mother Rani had come to the police station after he had been missing for three days. She was allowed to see her son who was detained there. The police attempted to snatch the cameras from the media team but they managed obtain footage of the cell. Later, when the footage was aired on television, the police blindfolded Koro Qazi and threw him outside his village at 2 am on Sunday. According to Qazi, there was no case against him except gambling, in which he was granted bail. Ghotki DPO Pir Muhammad Shah said that he would conduct an inquiry into the matter.
