Changing Systems: PPP MPA rejects LG ordinance

PPP MPA has said that commissionerate system should be restored and he would oppose the local ordinance bill

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) MPA Imdad Pitafi has said that commissionerate system should be restored and he would oppose the local ordinance bill in the Sindh Assembly. “The ordinance will be strongly opposed and votes will not be cast in its favour in the next session,” said Pitafi while talking to the media. He requested his party leaders not to raise this debate in the house and appealed to all PPP members in the assembly to oppose the local government ordinance. He said that the people want the commissionerate system back and the government should respect that.
