Pindi to get a new public park

“Rawalpindi Public Park” would be constructed on 96 kanals under the supervision of the CDG.

A modern public park will be built at Rawal Road once the land for the proposed project is acquired by the City District Government (CDG) Rawalpindi.


Commissioner Rawalpindi, Zahid Saeed said that the “Rawalpindi Public Park” would be constructed on 96 kanals under the supervision of the CDG. Saeed held a briefing at his office which was attended by various consultant companies; designs and park facilities were discussed. District Coordinator Officer (DCO) Saqib Zafar was also present.

Saeed indicated facilities would include a children’s playing area, jogging tracks, fountains, flower gardens, walkways, mini zoo, tuck shops, cafeteria, cricket and football grounds, open seating areas for families, a large car parking area and other facilities.
