Police round up gang members

SIALKOT: The Phalora police claimed to have arrested four members of inter-district gangs involved in robbery and kidnapping for ransom. Sialkot DPO Waqar Ahmad Chohan said that police have arrested Zeeshan (ring leader), Sialkot resident Tassawar Abbas  and Vehrai district residents Umer Farooq and Zakir.

The arrested gangsters were wanted by the Sialkot and Narowal police in 13 different cases of robbery, dacoity, kidnapping and murder.

He said that the police recovered five stolen and snatched motorcycles, six mobile phones, one rifle, four pistols and 110 bullets.

Police have placed the accused in custody and started an investigation. The DPO revealed that the Phalora police also captured another gang identified as Iftikhar alias Khara Gang.

He announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the police staff who participated in the raid.
