Assessment: Kurrum Agency security discussed

PESHAWAR: A high-level meeting, chaired by Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kausar here at the Governor’s House, reviewed the law and order situation in Kurram Agency.

Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Asif Yaseen Malik, inspector general Frontier Corps, secretary law and order Fata, Kohat commissioner, and secretary to the governor were among those who attended the meeting.

The meeting took stock of the overall situation in the agency and expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the operation against militants.

The meeting noted that the situation in the agency was comparatively calm and both sections of the sectarian divide were urged to cooperate and support the government’s efforts to restore peace in the region.
