MULTAN: A petrol pump manager was shot and killed by masked bandits for offering resistance at Chungi No 22 on Monday. Cantt superintendent Dr Shahzad Asif told reporters that the manager of a petrol pump on Shahrah-i-Rashid, identified as Khalil Ahmed, 65, was going to deposit Rs1.6 million in the bank when two robbers on a motorcycle intercepted him. The robbers held him hostage at gunpoint and opened fire at Ahmed when he tried to resist them. Ahmed died on the spot as the robbers left the cash and fled.
