LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Monday sought a reply from the health secretary by October 5 to a petition moved by a watchman claiming to have been denied his salary for 18 years. Munir Ahmad, a watchman at the Jhang rural health centre, submitted that he had not been paid since he was hired for the job on April 10, 1993. He said he had made several representations to the district health officer but been ignored. After hearing preliminary arguments, Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan directed the health secretary to file a reply.
