
A man was injured after being hit by a speeding car, a woman was deprived of cash and jewellery, and a car was stolen from a parking lot in separate incidents during the last 24 hours, sources said. Khan Bahadur lodged a report with the police that he was crossing the road in the Civil Lines area when a speeding Suzuki Alto driven by unidentified driver hit him and fled, leaving him injured.
Meanwhile, Javed Iqbal lodged a report with the police that his mother, Khurshid Bibi was walking to a local market when three persons including two women offered her a ride. She accepted and sat in the car with them. They snatched four bangles, locket set, a ring and Rs2,000 cash from his mother at gunpoint. Later, they pushed his mother out of the car and fled. Furthermore, Advocate Malik Obaid lodged a report with the same police that his car (IHY-184) was at Marrir Hassan Chowk when unidentified carjackers lifted it. The police registered separate cases under relevant sections of law.
