Peace in karachi: ‘Amn Committee to talk for peace’

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that targeted operation by the police and Rangers will continue till peace is restored in Karachi He was addressing the oath-taking ceremony of “Amn Committee for Inter-Faith Harmony” on Saturday. The operation is against those who kill innocent people and try to take the city hostage at gunpoint. “It is the collective responsibility of all to work together to restore peace and be on a look out for anti-state elements working to destabilise the country,” said Memon. Nobody will be allowed to collect hides of sacrificial animals during Eidul-Azha. “Action will be taken against those who collect hides at gunpoint,” he warned. The Amn Committee will remain in touch with people of all schools of thought and all parties.
