The Weeknd has made touring history after his After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour grossed more than $1.3bn, becoming the highest grossing tour by a male artist.

The record was confirmed by promoter Live Nation following the tour’s final performance at TM Stadium National in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The show marked the end of the singer’s 17 date Asian leg, which expanded from an original 11 dates because of demand.

According to figures reported by Variety, the tour ranks third among the highest grossing concert tours of all time. Only Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which earned more than $2bn, and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour, which surpassed $1.5bn, have generated higher totals.

The Weeknd’s achievement also surpasses Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which previously held the record for a male artist with more than $939m in reported earnings.

Launched in July 2022, After Hours Til Dawn ran for 176 shows across 67 cities, 30 countries and five continents. It sold more than 9 million tickets, with the 2026 performances alone generating over $500m from more than 3 million tickets.

The extensive run included stops across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Latin America, Australia and Asia. The singer returned to several regions for additional performances, helping the tour maintain its momentum over four years.

Alongside its commercial success, the tour also supported charitable causes. The Weeknd has donated $8.5m to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, contributing towards hunger relief and education initiatives.

In 2026, a further $3m was raised for the United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen. Contributions to Global Citizen are also supporting initiatives addressing barriers faced by women and girls in health, education and economic opportunity.

The record marks a major milestone in the singer’s touring career.
