'KPop Demon Hunters' returns to Netflix top 10 after new music video
'KPop Demon Hunters' has returned to Netflix's top 10 nearly 500 days after its original release

Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters has returned to the platform's top 10 films list nearly 500 days after its June 2025 release, setting a new record for the longest gap between a Netflix original's initial run and its return to the ranking.
The animated film previously spent 52 consecutive weeks in Netflix's top 10. It has now re-entered the chart at number seven, with renewed interest reportedly driven in part by a newly released music video featuring original animation.
The approximately 50-second video features choreography for "How It's Done", a song that played during a fight sequence in the original film without the characters performing the dance moves shown in the new footage.
The release therefore offers viewers new animated content rather than simply revisiting an existing scene.
According to Forbes contributor Paul Tassi, the video has attracted 19 million views and 170,000 likes on X, while its YouTube version has received 4.5 million views.
Netflix has also released live-action choreography videos featuring dancers performing routines to other songs from the film, which have collectively attracted millions of views.
Halloween may also have contributed to the film's renewed popularity. Tassi noted that costumes inspired by the film's characters, particularly Rumi's distinctive jackets and long purple braid, have been popular during this year's celebrations.
