Internship programme for degree holders begins
He added that 26,677 active job opportunities were currently available

The Sindh government will launch an internship programme for degree holders in November through its 'I Work for Sindh' platform to provide young people with practical work experience and improve their employment prospects.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced the initiative, saying the government was taking practical steps to create employment opportunities for young people and enhance their professional skills.
In a statement, he said the next phase of physical short courses for skilled individuals would also be launched through the platform in collaboration with companies. The courses would focus on developing skills in line with market requirements.
He said traditional education alone was no longer sufficient in the current job market, stressing that practical skills and professional training were equally important to prepare young people for employment.
Sharing details of the platform's performance, he said 'I Work for Sindh' had recorded more than 5.3 million visits. The number of registered candidates had reached 137,770, while 726 companies had registered with the platform.
He added that 26,677 active job opportunities were currently available, while the number of applications submitted through the platform had reached 480,000. The minister further said that 4,800 candidates had completed various courses over the past three months, while around 6,000 others were currently receiving training.
