LAHORE:

The Punjab Home Department has imposed a 30-day ban on flying drones in open spaces across the province, citing security concerns. The department issued a notification under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 on Wednesday.

It has directed the provincial administration and police to ensure strict implementation of the order. The ban allows limited use of small drones to cover events inside halls and marquees. However, organisers will be responsible for ensuring their safe operation during indoor events.

Intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been exempted from the restrictions.
