Halle Berry’s fiancé testifies in custody battle with Olivier Martinez
Halle Berry’s daughter, Nahla Aubry, and fiancé, Van Hunt, have testified in custody dispute with Olivier Martinez

Halle Berry’s daughter, Nahla Aubry, and her fiancé, musician Van Hunt, have testified in the ongoing legal dispute between the actor and her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, over custody of their son.
Nahla, 18, took the stand behind closed doors on Monday as proceedings resumed for a second week at Los Angeles Superior Court.
The hearing concerns Martinez’s request for a domestic violence restraining order and sole custody of the former couple’s 13-year-old son, Maceo.
Nahla’s testimony followed a declaration of support she filed for her mother earlier this month. Hunt also returned to the stand for cross-examination. Both witnesses were believed to have testified for less than an hour each.
Closing arguments began after a lunch break, with the proceedings continuing in private. Arguments are scheduled to continue on Tuesday, and a ruling is expected this week.
Martinez, who was previously married to Berry, is seeking a restraining order against the actor and sole custody of their son. He alleges that Berry choked Maceo during an altercation at her home on September 26.
In court filings, Martinez claimed that Maceo contacted him following the alleged incident and begged to be picked up.
A judge granted Martinez a temporary restraining order on October 1 and awarded him temporary primary custody of the teenager while the legal proceedings continue.
Berry has vehemently denied the allegations.
The case has brought the former couple back before the court as a judge considers Martinez’s requests. Monday’s testimony from Nahla and Hunt forms part of the proceedings ahead of the anticipated ruling.
