Seven killed as passenger jeep plunges into ravine near Muzaffarabad
Driver lost control while navigating difficult stretch of road

Seven people, including two children, were killed when a passenger jeep fell into a deep ravine in Shakar Patiyan, on the outskirts of Muzaffarabad, Radio Pakistan reported.
According to rescue officials, the jeep, which was carrying grass, was travelling from Shakar Patiyan to Siri Dara when the driver lost control while navigating a difficult stretch of road, causing the vehicle to plunge into the ravine.
Rescue teams faced severe difficulties in reaching the accident site because of the difficult terrain. The authorities later confirmed the deaths of all seven occupants, including the driver, Abdul Waheed.
The incident came a day after four children from the same family were killed and four others injured when a van carrying them to a religious school plunged into a deep ravine in Azad Jammu and Kashmir's Neelum Valley.
The van plunged nearly 500 metres into the ravine, killing three children on the spot and injuring four others. One of the injured children later died at the District Headquarters Hospital in Athmuqam, police confirmed.
