LAHORE:

Rain and hail were reported in several parts of Lahore on Saturday, bringing down temperatures as the metropolis ranked 13th among the world's most polluted major cities with an AQI of 142.

Rainfall was reported in Gajjumata, Nishtar, Chungi, Walton, Township and Harbanspura, Gulberg, DHA, Model Town and Raiwind.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department had issued an alert reporting an active weather system over Gujranwala and adjoining areas.

However, a subsequent daily forecast predicted mainly dry weather in most districts of Punjab on Sunday.

Murree, Galiyat and adjoining areas were expected to experience cold and partly cloudy conditions.
