Allison Holker reveals why her son wears Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ gold chain
Allison Holker shares how she and her children honour late husband Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss through family memories

Allison Holker has shared how she and her three children keep the memory of her late husband, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, alive through family traditions, meaningful keepsakes and conversations about their time together.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Dancers Against Cancer’s Industry Dance Awards in Los Angeles on October 21, the professional dancer, 38, explained how the family remembers Boss, who died aged 40 in December 2022.
Holker said they honour him through everyday activities, including eating his favourite foods and sharing memories. She also described how she helps their son, Maddox, 10, feel connected to his father by giving him Boss’ gold chain to wear when he feels discouraged.
The necklace has become particularly meaningful during family photographs, when Holker makes sure Maddox wears it so his father remains symbolically part of the moment. She added that her daughters, Weslie, 18, and Zaia, 5, also wear their father’s clothes as a way of feeling close to him.
Holker and Boss met in 2010 while appearing on So You Think You Can Dance and married in 2013. Boss adopted Weslie, Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship, and the couple later welcomed Maddox and Zaia.
In a May 2023 interview with PEOPLE, Holker discussed how the family supported one another following Boss’ death. She said her children had also become a source of strength for her during the difficult period.
Holker has continued to honour her husband publicly on significant dates, including the anniversary of his death and his birthday. In a September 2025 Instagram tribute marking what would have been his 43rd birthday, she recalled celebrating with some of his favourite activities, including Korean barbecue, visiting a comic book store and eating cookies and cream.
Through these traditions, Holker continues to celebrate Boss’ life and preserve his memory for their children.
