Jacob Elordi emerges as James Bond favourite amid fresh 007 casting rumours
Producer Amy Pascal says the next 007 should bring something different and exciting to the franchise

Jacob Elordi has re-emerged as a potential frontrunner to play James Bond, with fresh reports suggesting the Australian actor could be in contention to become the next 007.
Speculation surrounding the role has intensified in recent weeks, with British actors Jack Lowden and Jack Barton also linked to the coveted part. However, entertainment journalist Jeff Sneider has reportedly claimed that the screen testing process is complete and that Elordi is now expected to land the role.
According to HuffPost UK, Sneider shared the claims in his entertainment newsletter, The InSneider, and suggested an announcement could arrive soon. These reports remain unconfirmed, and neither Elordi nor Amazon MGM has publicly confirmed the casting.
Elordi first gained widespread attention through The Kissing Booth film series before earning recognition for his role as Nate Jacobs in Euphoria. His subsequent film work has included Saltburn and Frankenstein, while his growing profile has made him a recurring name in discussions about major Hollywood roles.
Earlier reports had also linked Callum Turner and Paul Mescal to the Bond casting process, alongside Harris Dickinson. The shifting list of potential candidates suggests that speculation about Daniel Craig’s successor remains unsettled.
The next instalment in the official James Bond film series will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, known for Dune and Blade Runner 2049. Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, is attached to write the screenplay.
Producer Amy Pascal has previously indicated that the creative team wants a fresh direction for the iconic spy, describing their ambition as finding someone “stirring and exciting and different”.
Until Amazon MGM or the filmmakers make an official announcement, the identity of the next James Bond remains unknown.
