Kaia Gerber pays emotional tribute to brother Presley after his death at 27

The eldest son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, Presley died at a rehabilitation facility on September 20

Kaia Gerber has paid an emotional tribute to her late brother, Presley Gerber, one month after his death at the age of 27, sharing heartfelt reflections on grief and their lifelong bond.

The 25-year-old model shared a personal message on Instagram on October 18, shortly after her mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford, posted a statement on behalf of the family.

“Prez, i don’t have the words. and maybe the tiny mercy is that we don’t need them all along,” Kaia began, describing the difficulty of finding language to express the loss.

She reflected on their relationship, writing, “you know how much i loved being your sister. it has always been, and will forever be, my favorite thing about myself.”

Accompanying her tribute were childhood photographs of the siblings on a beach and a video of them dancing together.

Kaia described Presley as “my best buddy, my great protector” and “the one true love of my life”.

In one of the most poignant passages, she wrote, “i was born loving you. i will die loving you. there was never anything else.”

Crawford and her husband, businessman Rande Gerber, also shared a message remembering their son as a “sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever”.

Presley died at a rehabilitation facility on September 20, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records. His official cause of death has been deferred while the investigation continues, the report stated.

The eldest child of Crawford and Rande, Presley began modelling at 15, following in his mother's footsteps. He later worked with IMG Models and appeared in campaigns and fashion shows.

Kaia concluded her tribute by expressing how difficult life felt without her brother, writing, “my darling brother, i do adore you. i love my brother. my brother is dead. and this party sucks so bad without you, prez.”
