Gordon Ramsay sparks thirst trap reactions with shirtless beach photos

The celebrity chef dedicated his Instagram post to athletes competing in the Ironman World Championship in Kona

Gordon Ramsay has sparked playful reactions from fans after sharing a series of beachside photographs showing off his physique on Instagram.

The celebrity chef, 59, posted a carousel featuring images of himself by the ocean, including a photograph wearing a fitted sleeveless wetsuit and another shirtless shot in close fitting shorts. The post also included a sunset image, a selfie, scenic beach views and a sandwich.

While Ramsay had a sporting reason for sharing the photographs, followers quickly focused on his appearance, with several describing the post as a “thirst trap”.

The Hell’s Kitchen star dedicated the Instagram carousel to athletes preparing to compete in the IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in Kona, Hawaii. In his caption, he wished participants good luck and thanked the volunteers who help make the event possible.

Ramsay also reflected on his own experience with the competition, calling it one of the greatest finish lines he had crossed. The full IRONMAN event is known for its demanding combination of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile cycling course and a 26.2 mile marathon.

However, the sporting message did not stop followers from making jokes about the photographs. One commenter playfully referenced Ramsay’s muscular appearance, while another suggested he knew exactly what he was doing by sharing the images. Others joined in with food related jokes inspired by his career as a chef.

Away from the online attention, Ramsay has also spoken candidly about the personal sacrifices involved in building his restaurant career.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, he acknowledged that work often kept him from everyday family moments with his six children, including school runs, dinners and performances. He described time as the most valuable thing he had sacrificed professionally.

Ramsay has been married to Tana Ramsay since 1996. The couple have six children, and he has previously discussed the importance of making their time together meaningful despite the demands of his career.
