The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Layla Taylor has opened up about her strained friendship with Taylor Frankie Paul, saying she does not see a path forward for their relationship.

Speaking to E! News at Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards 2026 in New York City, Layla said she remained hopeful about the future of MomTok despite the recent drama surrounding the group.

“For the women that are still involved, [we’re] strong,” Layla said, adding that viewers would see a healthier dynamic during Season 6.

However, when asked about her relationship with Taylor, Layla was clear that she needed to distance herself.

“No,” she said when asked if she saw a path forward. Layla explained that Taylor’s behaviour in her relationship had been difficult for her to watch and that Taylor had later directed hurtful comments towards her and her friends.

“I wish her well,” Layla said, adding that she needed to take “a step back” for her own mental health.

The comments come amid continuing tensions within The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast. Taylor has also remained involved in a legal dispute with her ex, Dakota Mortenson, over custody of their young son. Both have previously made domestic violence allegations, although no charges were filed.

Despite the disagreements, Layla said she was taking things “day by day” and described the recent developments as difficult to navigate.

Fellow cast member Miranda Hope also addressed the group’s changing dynamics, saying the cast was working out how to move forward.

“I definitely think there’s a light at the end of the tunnel,” Miranda said.
