'Ted Lasso' finale recap: Richmond faces major changes as season 4 ends
'Ted Lasso' ends the fourth season with changes at Richmond and a possible path towards another season

The Ted Lasso Season 4 finale brings the Greyhounds’ first season to a close while leaving several major characters facing significant changes, leaving the door open for a potential fifth season.
The finale begins with the Richmond family mourning Mae, whose death affects Keeley, Ted and the Lady Greyhounds.
Roy learns that Keeley is pregnant and is offered the head coaching job at Chelsea. He ultimately accepts, although he plans to remain with Richmond until the end of the season.
At the same time, Rebecca discovers that Zelda was behind the attempt to gain control of AFC Richmond. However, Higgins and Rebecca had anticipated the move, while Hugo Riddles switched sides.
Mae's 2% stake is ultimately returned to Rebecca, giving her 51% ownership of the club.
Ted also makes an important decision concerning Henry. After previously avoiding difficult conversations, he finally tells his son the truth about his grandfather's suicide.
The episode then suggests Ted has chosen to remain involved in Henry's life while continuing his work in football.
Rebecca proposes to Matthijs, and he accepts. Beard also makes changes to his appearance and life, while Roy prepares to leave Richmond for Chelsea.
The biggest change comes with Alice Chilton becoming head coach of the AFC Richmond women's team, with Ted and Beard joining her as assistant managers.
The finale does not reveal the result of the Lady Greyhounds' final match. Instead, it ends with 112 days remaining until their next season, leaving plenty of possibilities for a potential Season 5.
