FKA twigs is free to publicly discuss her alleged experiences with former partner Shia LaBeouf after the pair resolved a dispute over nondisclosure provisions in their previous settlement.

According to a filing in Los Angeles County Superior Court dated Oct. 5, the singer and actress asked for her latest case against LaBeouf to be dismissed after reaching an agreement. Under the resolution, disputed nondisclosure provisions were terminated and declared void.

The agreement allows twigs to discuss her alleged experiences and support charitable organisations without facing legal action over the former confidentiality provisions, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, said the resolution allows twigs to speak about her experience, advocate for other women and support charitable organisations. LaBeouf’s attorney, Shawn Holley, also confirmed that the dispute had been resolved.

Twigs first sued LaBeouf in December 2020, accusing the actor of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress, among other claims. LaBeouf denied the allegations. The pair dated from around July 2018 until May 2019.

The former couple reached a settlement in 2025, but a subsequent dispute arose over whether twigs could publicly discuss her allegations. In December 2025, LaBeouf reportedly sought arbitration after twigs was asked in an interview whether she felt safe.

Twigs responded that she would not say she felt safe and discussed wanting to work with organisations supporting survivors. LaBeouf alleged that the comments breached their settlement’s confidentiality provisions and sought monetary damages, according to twigs’ amended complaint.

Twigs argued that the provisions were unlawful under California’s Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act, which limits confidentiality agreements involving sexual misconduct claims. The latest agreement resolves that dispute, with twigs seeking dismissal of the case.
